About me

To me, photography, the reason I continue to return to it, to capture over and over again, is a way of understanding the world. As time has passed, I’ve found myself coming back to these lyrics by Alain Souchon: “Il a tourné sa vie dans tous les sens pour savoir si ça avait un sens, l'existence.” (Alain Souchon) This question, which feels so close to my own lived experience, sits at the center of my work.

Born in Paris and raised in Boston, I have always carried a quiet confusion about what it means to exist in this world; how we make sense of it, and how we move through it every day without always questioning it. This curiosity, this need to understand, has followed me for as long as I can remember. Although it has become a kind of mantra for me, it can also feel isolating. I often find myself pausing to question the world around me, wondering if others are doing the same.

Growing up, I moved through different art forms, finding comfort and rhythm in dance, pottery, and sculpture. But photography and digital media became something different. It is the place where I can begin to understand the world around me, not by defining it, but by seeing it. By framing it, returning to it, and holding it long enough for something to reveal itself. Photography has become a way for me not only to understand the world, but also to connect with the people I love deeply, or even find love for a stranger.

For me, photography is not about capturing answers, but about staying with questions. It is a way of paying attention, of noticing what might otherwise go unseen. My camera becomes a kind of lens of clarity, not because it explains the world, but because it allows me to be present within it. It is where looking becomes a form of understanding, and where presence becomes meaning.

Education

I am a junior at New York University, majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication, with minors in Studio Art and Psychology. My education has grounded much of my work. Since birth, I have experienced many different types of educational systems, including unschooling, homeschooling, public school, and private school. For most of my life, I took an active role in shaping my own education, developing a curiosity-driven approach to learning that continues to inform my creative practice.

After discovering a passion for many different art forms, I attended The Cambridge School of Weston for three years before coming to NYU. There, I further developed my love for photography, digital media, and visual storytelling. Now, at NYU, being part of a media program that explores media and technology within their cultural, social, and global contexts has been a meaningful part of my journey.

My education has helped ground my work in understanding the world through the intersections of art and media, as well as looking at the broader cultural and global contexts that shape them and the work I produce myself.

Exhibitions and Screenings

My work has been exhibited at the Panopticon Gallery in Boston as part of the juried First Look: A Second Glance exhibition. February-April 2026

My collaborative documentary has been screened at NYU Madrid, followed by a panel discussion.
